The Philadelphia Dermatological
Society was created in 1900, and is one of the nation's premier local
dermatological societies. As a member of the Atlantic
Dermatological Society, the Society participates in yearly
conferences, hosting the Atlantic Dermatology Meeting once every seven
years.
Throughout the year, the member institutions of the Philadelphia Dermatological Society host conferences which consist of patient viewings and review of histopathology with discussion of diagnosis and treatment.
The Society currently has over 270 active members as well as
numerous resident physicians who actively participate in conferences.
